ABOUT
US
In
2005, Horrell Company celebrated
50 years in commercial
real
estate.
Henry Horrell started Horrell Refrigeration in 1943 at 1416 Church
Street in Nashville, providing refrigeration for local grocery stores.
By 1955, his business flourished and he gradually grew to adding
site consultation and development services to the grocers.
Early
on, these services were approximately only 10% of his business.
In 1955, to expand on the growth of products and services, Horrell
Refrigeration made a move to the corner of Sidco Drive and Thompson
Lane resulting in taking on their first two tenants, Nashville Stationary
who occupied the former Church Street address, and Heil Quaker who
occupied part of the property purchased on Sidco Drive.
By 1972, site consultation, development, property ownership and
management grew to approximately 90% of Horrell Refrigeration’s
business. Thus, Horrell Refrigeration was sold and Horrell Realty & Investments
was established to create and grow the brokerage division of commercial
real estate in Nashville. Henry’s three sons, Fred, Steve and
John became involved in the property investments and development,
while additional brokers were brought in to handle the brokerage
of sales and leases for industrial properties.
With the years of dedication of the Horrell Family, along with participating
brokers and staffing, the company has grown to be one of Nashville’s
leading industrial real estate firms.
